A Social Entrepreneur and Mentor || Founder & Executive Director at Wion Motors LLC || President at Wion Foundation || Development Practitioner.
Since my childhood, I have always loved cars and taking care of them. And in 2005, I was privileged
to get a government sponsorship to study mechanical engineering at Kyambogo university in
Kampala.
After my university, I worked with two companies to gather experience and later in 2011, I opened
up Wion Motors upon returning from my Industrial training in Japan – Wion Motors started out as
car import company and a social place for interns doing automotive engineering at colleges.
And in 2017, my passion for auto-care drove me to open up my own car garage.
This came about
after experiencing several unprofessional practices by car mechanics in the market.
We are in the business of youth/women empowerment through retooling them using practical
skill-based approach to inculcate confidence, ethics, knowledge & auto repair skills.
Since 2014, We have trained 63 youths and majority of them have gone out to start their own
business in the auto-care market in Uganda, through using the knowledge and skills they acquired
from Wion Motors.
My mission is to train over 1000 youth/Women by 2035 with focus on attracting & encouraging
more girls into the auto-repair industry in Uganda.
With a network of over 67 car technicians and consultants hired on a Call-For-Duty basis.
